Job Description

Senior Mobile SDK Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Mobile SDK Engineer in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build and scale mobile SDKs that power integrations for global enterprise customers while also shaping first-party mobile applications used by hospitality teams worldwide. You will design developer-first tools that enable large hotel brands to embed advanced platform capabilities directly into their own apps with ease and reliability. The environment is highly collaborative, bringing together product, design, backend, and platform engineering teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences at scale. You will focus on creating robust, well-documented, and secure SDKs that prioritize performance and long-term maintainability. Beyond SDK development, you will contribute to mobile app features that directly impact daily operations for hotel staff. This is a hands-on engineering role that blends architecture, product thinking, and developer experience excellence in a fast-moving, global SaaS context.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will own the design, development, and evolution of mobile SDKs and related mobile experiences, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and easy for external developers to integrate. You will contribute to both SDK architecture and first-party mobile applications while maintaining a strong focus on performance, security, and developer experience.

  • Design, build, and maintain mobile SDKs for iOS and/or Android supporting enterprise integrations
  • Develop clear, intuitive APIs, documentation, samples, and integration guides for external developers
  • Build and enhance features within first-party mobile applications used by hotel staff
  • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define requirements and deliver customer-impacting features
  • Work with Backend and Platform teams to define API contracts, observability standards, and system integration flows
  • Establish and maintain SDK versioning, release processes, and backward compatibility standards
  • Improve engineering quality through testing, automation, code reviews, and architectural best practices
  • Monitor production performance, implement logging and crash analytics, and support operational readiness
Requirements

This role requires strong mobile engineering expertise with deep experience in building scalable SDKs and mobile applications. You should be highly proficient in either iOS or Android development and comfortable working in cross-functional, product-driven environments.

  • 5+ years of experience in mobile engineering or SDK development on iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin)
  • Proven experience designing, shipping, and maintaining public SDKs used by external developers
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, API design, modular systems, and backward compatibility
  • Solid knowledge of mobile fundamentals including networking, concurrency, persistence, security, and performance optimization
  • Experience with build tools and CI/CD systems (e.g., Gradle, Maven, CocoaPods, SPM, fastlane, Xcode Cloud)
  • Strong focus on code quality, testing strategies, automation, and observability practices
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially for documentation and developer-facing materials
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams
Benefits
  • Flexible and remote-friendly work environment
  • Monthly company-wide recharge days (“Canary Days”)
  • Professional development budgets and learning support programs
  • Travel reimbursement for visiting office hubs and working in-person with teams
  • Personal travel credits when staying at partner hotel properties
  • Opportunities to work with global enterprise customers and impactful hospitality technology
  • Collaborative, product-driven engineering culture with strong ownership and autonomy
  • Inclusive workplace committed to diversity, equity, and equal opportunity
