This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining robust integrations across the Workday ecosystem and broader enterprise application landscape. You will be responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable integrations that connect Workday with payroll, finance, HR, IT, and analytics systems. The position is highly technical and hands-on, requiring deep expertise in Workday integration tools such as Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into well-architected integration solutions. The environment emphasizes engineering discipline, maintainability, and operational excellence across all integration workflows. Your contributions will directly ensure data consistency, process automation, and seamless system interoperability across enterprise platforms. - Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday APIs.
- Build inbound and outbound integrations connecting Workday with payroll, HR, finance, IT, and external SaaS platforms.
- Develop and optimize XSLT transformations within Workday Studio, ensuring reusable, maintainable, and well-tested integration logic.
- Implement REST and SOAP-based APIs for secure and scalable system-to-system communication.
- Design integration error handling, retry mechanisms, monitoring, and alerting frameworks for production reliability.
- Configure and maintain integration system users (ISUs), ISSGs, security settings, and tenant-level integration configurations.
- Build and support report-based integrations, calculated fields, and custom reporting solutions for data exchange.
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, IT, and finance teams to translate business needs into technical integration designs.
- Participate in tenant refreshes, regression testing, and Workday release cycles to ensure integration stability.
- Troubleshoot production integration issues and implement durable fixes and long-term improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Workday integration development and enterprise system integration.
- Strong expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and integration architecture.
- Advanced proficiency in XSLT and experience building complex Workday Studio orchestrations.
- Hands-on experience with Workday REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong understanding of Workday data model, tenant configuration, and security framework (ISU/ISSG).
- Experience working with calculated fields and custom reports in Workday environments.
- Familiarity with integration monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills in enterprise integration scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and functional teams.
- Competitive salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 per year.
