Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Admissions Assessor to provide quality clinical services from admission through discharge planning for clients with substance use disorders. This role involves conducting assessments, planning treatment, and facilitating care for adult clients. Reporting to the Admissions Director and Admissions Supervisor, the Admissions Assessor plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care and supporting clients through their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments and create Diagnostic Summaries within three (3) days of admission
Develop comprehensive treatment plans within three (3) days for substance abuse clients and within 24 hours for psychiatric clients
Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with other treatment providers for smooth transitions to the next level of care
Ensure accurate, timely documentation, including Diagnostic Summaries, Comprehensive Treatment Plans, and ASAM Level of Care Criteria
Maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients and ensure professional, ethical interactions
Participate in ongoing professional development, including in-service training, seminars, and certification maintenance
Conduct case management, crisis interventions, and group/individual counseling as required, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3793:2-1-08
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support clients' treatment plans and goals

Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED. Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Minimum of CDCA certification, with the willingness to pursue further certification
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with adults with substance use disorders; inpatient treatment experience preferred

Skills:
Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs and ASAM criteria
Familiarity with detoxification assessment and treatment procedures
Strong group therapy, time management, and crisis intervention skills
Ability to handle confidential information and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF files
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the disease concept of addiction treatment and mental health
