This role focuses on ensuring digital and hardware technologies meet the highest accessibility standards, improving usability for individuals relying on assistive technologies.
You will conduct detailed accessibility assessments across software and hardware systems, including mobile devices and telecommunications products.
The position plays a key role in identifying compliance gaps against Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 standards and driving meaningful remediation strategies.
You will also contribute to improving accessibility maturity through documentation, training, and knowledge sharing with client teams.
A strong emphasis is placed on both hands-on technical testing and clear communication of findings to diverse stakeholders.

- Conduct end-to-end accessibility audits and validation testing across software applications and hardware devices, including mobile phones and telecommunications products.
- Evaluate compliance against Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA standards, identifying accessibility barriers and documenting findings in detail.
- Test and assess hardware compatibility for assistive technologies, including hearing aids and related telecommunications requirements.
- Develop clear remediation guidance, best practices, and technical recommendations to resolve accessibility violations.
- Apply accessibility fixes or enhancements directly within software source code when required.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions, workshops, and educational presentations on accessibility standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with client teams and stakeholders across multiple projects in fast-paced, multi-client environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Section 508 standards and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines for both software and hardware systems.
- Hands-on experience testing mobile devices and telecommunications products for accessibility compliance.
- Familiarity with hearing aid compatibility standards, including ANSI C63.19 and FCC-related requirements for interference reduction.
- Experience using accessibility testing tools and measurement equipment to evaluate compliance metrics such as M3 and T4 ratings.
- Ability to produce detailed technical documentation with strong attention to accuracy, clarity, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical accessibility issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working across multiple clients or projects in a fast-paced consulting or assessment environment.
- Relevant certifications such as DHS Trusted Tester, IAAP CPACC, or IAAP WAS are highly desirable.
