Role Overview
We are seeking a Supervising Physician to partner with our clinical team and provide supervisory oversight for Physician Assistants practicing within a primary care setting. This role is ideal for a physician with a strong outpatient background who is comfortable providing guidance, clinical oversight, and availability while working remotely.
The Supervising Physician serves in a collaborative, nonclinical capacity focused on supervision, compliance, and supportnot direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervising physician services as an independent contractor in accordance with state regulations and practice requirements
  • Remotely supervise up to six (6) Physician Assistants employed by the Practice
  • Be available for consultation, guidance, and clinical oversight as required
  • Review and cosign charts, protocols, or documentation as required by regulation or practice policy
  • Support quality assurance and clinical compliance efforts
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery
  • Maintain appropriate availability and responsiveness to supervised providers
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in a primary care specialty preferred
  • Active, unrestricted medical license (statespecific requirements apply)
  • Experience in an outpatient primary care setting
  • Prior experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers preferred
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, remote environment
