This opportunity is ideal for an experienced contracts professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and enjoys leading strategic initiatives that support complex business operations. In this role, you will oversee the full contract lifecycle for commercial and government agreements while guiding a team of contract specialists and analysts. You’ll collaborate closely with legal, compliance, engineering, finance, and supply chain stakeholders to manage risk, drive operational efficiency, and support long-term business objectives. The position combines leadership, negotiation, compliance oversight, and process improvement within a dynamic and globally connected organization. Candidates who enjoy solving complex challenges, influencing cross-functional teams, and building scalable contracting operations will find strong growth opportunities in this role. This remote position is based in Puerto Rico and offers the flexibility of working from home while contributing to high-impact aerospace and defense programs.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of contracts professionals through coaching, performance management, hiring, workload planning, and career development initiatives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial and U.S. Government contracts, including agreements governed by FAR/DFARS, cybersecurity requirements, export controls, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex contract matters, providing guidance on negotiations, risk assessments, deviations, and compliance concerns.
  • Partner with internal legal, finance, engineering, supply chain, and program management teams to align contract strategy with business goals.
  • Drive negotiation activities with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders while supporting strategic business initiatives.
  • Ensure proper contract governance, document retention, repository management, audit readiness, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Improve operational efficiency through the development of templates, clause libraries, automation initiatives, reporting metrics, and process standardization.
  • Monitor contract portfolio performance to identify risks, compliance gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support organizational readiness for evolving government contracting regulations, cybersecurity standards, and supply chain integrity requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing direct reports and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong experience managing contracts involving U.S. Government acquisition requirements, including FAR/DFARS compliance and federally regulated programs.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program and contract access restrictions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management, compliance regulations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with export controls (ITAR/EAR), cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-171), and contract data governance best practices is a plus.
  • Experience leading process transformation, operational improvement, or digital automation initiatives is highly valued.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Remote work flexibility based in Puerto Rico
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous 401(k) plan with employer matching and retirement contributions
  • Three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees
  • Tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment assistance
  • Life insurance and disability coverage
  • Paid parental, adoption, and family planning benefits
  • Wellness and mental health support programs, including counseling sessions and virtual healthcare services
  • Childcare and eldercare assistance programs
  • Optional coverage options including pet insurance, legal services, critical illness coverage, and identity theft protection
  • Career development opportunities within a global, innovation-driven environment.
