Job Description

Principal Solutions Architect, Conduct

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Solutions Architect, Conduct in the United States.

This is a senior technical leadership role focused on shaping the long-term architecture of a global, enterprise-scale compliance and communications surveillance platform. You will define and evolve system-wide architectural strategy across services, data, integrations, and AI capabilities, ensuring the platform meets the demands of highly regulated industries. The role requires deep expertise in distributed systems and a hands-on approach to architecture, including prototyping, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and compliance stakeholders to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions. This position plays a critical role in enabling AI-driven supervision and advanced analytics while ensuring auditability, security, and reliability at scale. You will also guide engineering teams through design decisions and architectural trade-offs that shape long-term platform evolution. This is a high-impact role where technical vision directly influences product direction, scalability, and regulatory trust.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the architectural strategy for a large-scale, regulated enterprise platform, ensuring scalability, compliance, and long-term technical integrity.

  • Define and evolve end-to-end architectural strategy for a global, multi-tenant compliance platform
  • Lead high-impact design decisions that shape long-term system scalability, resilience, and extensibility
  • Architect distributed systems supporting high-volume data ingestion, processing, and surveillance workflows
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to translate regulatory and business needs into technical solutions
  • Design secure-by-default, audit-ready systems aligned with global regulatory requirements
  • Enable AI-driven capabilities including detection, investigation workflows, and behavioral analysis within governed frameworks
  • Establish architectural standards for integration, data flows, and platform consistency across services
  • Prototype, validate, and refine architectural approaches through hands-on technical work
  • Lead deep technical reviews and guide engineering teams on system design and trade-offs
  • Troubleshoot complex production-scale issues related to performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Mentor engineers and elevate architectural maturity across teams and domains
Requirements

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced architecture leader with deep expertise in distributed systems, enterprise platforms, and regulated environments, combined with a hands-on engineering mindset.

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture with progression into senior technical leadership roles
  • Proven ownership of architecture for large-scale, distributed, multi-service enterprise platforms
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and data-intensive processing pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Java, Kafka (or equivalent), and microservices architecture
  • Deep experience designing and operating cloud-native systems on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, encryption, IAM, and secure-by-design principles
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, fintech, or similar environments
  • Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions under regulatory, technical, and delivery constraints
  • Practical experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-based capabilities into production systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience leading modernization or large-scale platform transformation initiatives
  • Hands-on, embedded engineering mindset rather than purely advisory architectural experience
Benefits

This position offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to shape a mission-critical enterprise platform at global scale.

  • Salary range: $200,000 – $230,000 annually
  • Bonus eligibility (details shared during the hiring process)
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Remote-friendly work environment within the United States
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale, AI-enabled enterprise systems
  • High-impact leadership role with significant architectural ownership
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven engineering culture
  • Strong emphasis on learning, development, and technical growth
  • Inclusive workplace culture with a focus on diversity and collaboration
