We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and charismatic PRN Circulating Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our clinical aesthetic treatments, specializing in non-surgical facial rejuvenation and skin health. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of facial anatomy, a keen eye for symmetry, and a "patient-first" mentality.
Preoperative Responsibilities
- Prepares and organizes operating rooms prior to surgical procedures.
- Ensures availability and sterility of surgical instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies needed for each case.
- Assists with room turnover and preparation between cases to support efficient workflow and on time starts.
- Verifies proper functioning of surgical equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment appropriately.
- Participates in surgical counts according to facility policy.
- Pulling necessary supplies for upcoming cases Intraoperative Responsibilities
Intraoperative Responsibilities
- Anticipates surgeon needs during procedures.
- Maintains sterile technique and monitors the sterile field for breaks in asepsis.
- Assists with patient positioning and surgical site preparation as directed.
- Handles specimens according to facility policy and surgeon preference.
- Assists with hemostasis, wound dressing application, and other procedural support activities within scope of practice.
- Maintains accurate counts with circulating nurse before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient operating room environment
Postoperative Responsibilities
- Assists with room cleanup and decontamination following procedures.
- Restock supplies at the end of each day and ensure operating rooms are ready for subsequent procedures.
- Assists with sterile processing of instruments utilized during each surgical case.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Kentucky
- Active BLS and ACLS certification (PALS may be required depending on patient population).
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in PACU, plastic surgery, or ambulatory surgery setting.
- IV therapy and moderate sedation experience strongly preferred.
