Job Description

Copywriter - Direct Contract

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Copywriter - Direct Contract in United States.

This role is ideal for a performance-driven copywriter who thrives in fast-paced digital environments where every word is tied to measurable impact. You will create conversion-focused messaging across experiments, landing pages, email campaigns, SMS flows, and paid media initiatives for a diverse portfolio of clients spanning B2B, B2C, and nonprofit sectors. Working closely with strategists, analysts, and designers, you’ll help shape data-informed campaigns that optimize engagement and drive growth outcomes. The position also offers the opportunity to build and manage AI-powered writing systems that scale content production while preserving brand integrity. This is a long-term remote contract opportunity designed for professionals who value autonomy, collaboration, and continuous experimentation. Candidates who combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on AI expertise and high-volume creative execution will excel in this environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Write high-performing conversion copy for A/B tests, including headlines, CTAs, value propositions, and messaging variations aligned with clear experimentation hypotheses.
  • Develop persuasive landing page content from briefs and wireframes while collaborating with design teams to ensure strong message-to-layout alignment.
  • Create email and SMS lifecycle campaign copy for customer journeys such as welcome flows, abandoned cart sequences, promotions, and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Produce paid media copy for platforms such as Meta, Google, and LinkedIn with a strong understanding of platform constraints and conversion best practices.
  • Analyze underperforming messaging and propose data-backed copy improvements based on testing outcomes and campaign insights.
  • Adapt quickly to multiple client brand voices across nonprofit, B2B, and B2C audiences while maintaining consistency and strategic relevance.
  • Partner with strategists and analysts to support experimentation roadmaps and ensure copy execution aligns with broader growth objectives.
  • Build, train, and maintain brand-specific AI writing agents using prompts, tone calibration systems, and quality guardrails to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while proactively communicating timelines, priorities, and workload capacity.
Requirements:
  • 3–6 years of experience in conversion copywriting, direct-response marketing, CRO, growth marketing, or performance-focused digital copywriting.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing test-oriented copy such as landing pages, email campaigns, paid ads, or experimentation variants with strategic rationale.
  • Strong understanding of conversion psychology, messaging frameworks, objection handling, and hypothesis-driven copy development.
  • Experience writing across web, paid media, email, SMS, and funnel-based digital channels.
  • Prior experience working in agency or multi-client environments with fast turnaround expectations and competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing principles, including control vs. variant structures and performance analysis methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience creating AI-powered writing workflows, including custom GPTs, Claude Projects, or similar AI agent systems.
  • Ability to quickly absorb and replicate distinct brand voices with minimal revision cycles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain creative rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit or mission-driven organizations through fundraising, donation optimization, or advocacy-focused messaging is highly valued.
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote contract opportunity available across the United States.
  • Long-term fractional engagement with potential for future full-time conversion based on business needs.
  • Flexible work structure designed to support sustainable part-time collaboration.
  • Paid evaluation period during the first days of engagement with compensation provided for all hours worked.
  • Opportunity to work on diverse projects across B2B, B2C, and nonprofit industries.
  • Exposure to advanced experimentation, growth marketing, and AI-integrated creative workflows.
  • Collaborative remote environment focused on autonomy, innovation, and measurable impact.
  • Opportunity to help shape scalable AI-powered creative systems and reusable conversion frameworks.
