Strengthen Sales Execution. Support Customer Relationships. Help Win the Work.

Superior Rigging & Erecting is seeking a highly organized and proactive Sales Coordinator to support the combined sales organization serving Superior Rigging & Erecting and Heaton Erecting.

Based at our Atlanta headquarters, this is a fully onsite position requiring daily in-office attendance.

The Sales Coordinator will serve as a central connection point among sales, estimating, operations, project management, safety, and customers. You will help manage sales information, coordinate proposals and qualification packages, track customer requirements, and move opportunities efficiently from initial inquiry through operational handoff and billing support.

This is more than an administrative position. It is an opportunity to gain organization-wide exposure to crane and rigging services, steel erection, specialized transportation, and complex construction projects.

About Us

Since 1952, Superior Rigging & Erecting has delivered crane, rigging, steel erection, heavy transport, and specialty construction solutions for complex commercial and industrial projects.

Together, Superior Rigging & Erecting and Heaton Erecting bring deep field expertise, disciplined execution, and an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality. As we combine our sales teams, this position will help strengthen coordination, consistency, and customer responsiveness across the organization.

At Superior, we make the Tough Look Easy.

What You will Do

  • Support sales professionals serving Superior Rigging & Erecting and Heaton Erecting.
  • Receive, route, and track incoming sales leads based on territory, service capability, availability, and leadership direction.
  • Maintain accurate customer, contact, opportunity, proposal, and sales activity information within the company’s CRM.
  • Track bid dates, customer commitments, follow-up activities, outstanding action items, and opportunity status.
  • Coordinate proposal schedules and assist sales and estimating teams with quotes, proposals, qualifications, and customer submissions.
  • Compile prequalification and project-compliance packages, including certificates of insurance, company safety information, crane inspection records, operator certifications, driver qualifications, and lift-plan documentation.
  • Coordinate with Safety, Operations, HR, and other document owners to ensure submitted information is accurate, current, and complete.
  • Help coordinate jobsite badging, credentialing, and customer-specific access requirements for crane operators, drivers, and other assigned personnel.
  • Coordinate sales meetings, customer interactions, site visits, and internal follow-up activities.
  • Support the transition of awarded work from sales and estimating to project management and operations, including job setup and scheduling information.
  • Assist with quote-to-job and job-to-billing coordination by reviewing documentation for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and routing items through established approval processes.
  • Prepare pipeline reports, sales activity summaries, meeting materials, and management updates.
  • Help improve CRM data quality, sales processes, documentation standards, and communication across the organization.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in sales support, project coordination, customer service, construction administration, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage time-sensitive documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with CRM, estimating, proposal-management, or project-management systems preferred.
  • Construction, crane and rigging, steel erection, transportation, industrial services, or equipment-rental experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple departments while maintaining professionalism and accountability.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work onsite every workday at our Atlanta headquarters.
