The Enablement and Governance Lead will play a strategic role in strengthening operational excellence and governance practices across a global Infrastructure & Operations organization.
This position focuses on creating frameworks, improving decision-making processes, and ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and business priorities.
You will partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive transformation programs, performance management, and continuous improvement.
The role combines strategic planning, portfolio management, analytics, stakeholder engagement, and organizational enablement.
You will help establish scalable processes, increase operational maturity, and improve visibility across complex technology environments.
Working in a fully remote setup, you will collaborate with global teams and contribute to impactful technology initiatives within the life sciences and healthcare ecosystem.
The Enablement and Governance Lead will be responsible for establishing governance structures, improving operational effectiveness, and enabling successful execution of technology initiatives across Infrastructure & Operations. This role requires strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.
- Establish and manage governance frameworks, operating rhythms, and decision-making processes across Infrastructure & Operations teams.
- Drive portfolio governance for infrastructure, cloud, network, security, workplace technologies, service management, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Develop executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into organizational performance.
- Facilitate business reviews, leadership meetings, steering committees, and executive governance forums.
- Ensure technology initiatives align with business priorities, strategic roadmaps, financial plans, and organizational objectives.
- Support annual planning, budgeting, workforce planning, and strategic roadmap development activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to improve prioritization, accountability, resource management, and delivery outcomes.
- Monitor portfolio health, risks, dependencies, financial performance, and execution progress across major initiatives.
- Standardize governance processes, documentation practices, communications, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Establish maturity assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, change management activities, and executive communications in partnership with technology and business teams.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technology governance and operations professional with a strong background in enterprise IT environments. The role requires expertise in portfolio management, operational excellence, executive communication, and the ability to drive alignment across global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT governance, PMO leadership, operational excellence, portfolio management, enablement, or infrastructure operations leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure domains, including cloud, networking, cybersecurity, service management, workplace technologies, and data center operations.
- Experience supporting global Infrastructure & Operations organizations and complex technology environments.
- Proven ability to design governance frameworks, operational metrics, KPI structures, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Strong program and portfolio management skills, with experience managing strategic initiatives and organizational planning.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and executive engagement skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and decision-support capabilities.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, ITIL, COBIT, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, compliance, audit, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with platforms such as ServiceNow, Power BI, Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
