Job Title: State Impact Manager

Job Summary:
The State Impact Manager serves as the primary Member relationship manager and connector between Fahe, its Members, and key state and local partners. This role acts as a two-way conduit of information, ensuring Member needs, opportunities, and successes are communicated throughout Fahe while connecting Members to resources, technical assistance, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular communication with all caucus organizations through calls, emails, meetings, visits, and events to understand needs, challenges, opportunities, and successes.
- Assess Member needs and connect organizations to appropriate services, technical assistance, funding opportunities, training, research, and external resources.
- Coordinate information-sharing between caucus members and Fahe teams, including Membership, Advocacy, Finance, Development, Research, Communications, Lending, and Programs.
- Work with caucus leadership to establish annual priorities, develop action plans, track progress, and support the achievement of caucus strategies and goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and support caucus meetings, agendas, trainings, guest speakers, and affinity group activities, including logistics and follow-up communications.
- Develop and steward relationships with state agencies, housing and community development partners, coalitions, funders, and other stakeholders to advance caucus and Member priorities.
- Track state-level policy developments, funding opportunities, and partnership initiatives, coordinating with Fahe Advocacy and other teams to support Member interests.
- Identify potential partners and Members, strengthen engagement with existing Members, and encourage participation in caucus initiatives and network activities.
- Assist Members with reporting requirements, facilitate data and research requests, and collaborate with Fahe Communications to highlight Member achievements and develop outreach materials.
- Track Member and stakeholder interactions, maintain contact and media lists, document engagement activities, and utilize Salesforce or other relationship management systems as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in community development, affordable housing, nonprofit management, advocacy, public administration, economic development, or a related field.
- Strong relationship-building, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Experience convening groups, building consensus, and managing multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local housing and community development programs is preferred.
- Familiarity with Appalachian communities and place-based development issues is highly desirable.
- Residence within the assigned state and reasonable proximity to caucus Member organizations is required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Primarily a sedentary role, requiring extensive use of a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to travel as needed based on business and organizational needs.
- Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
