Are you passionate about promoting good oral health and providing quality dental care? We’re looking for a Dental Hygienist who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to creating a safe and positive experience for individuals served. In this role, you’ll provide dental hygiene services, educate individuals served on oral health, maintain accurate records, and help ensure our dental clinic operates safely and efficiently. What You’ll Do
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for dental hygiene visits by following established procedures and protocols
- Provide dental hygiene services and procedures in accordance with the dental practice act and applicable standards
- Evaluate the oral health needs of individuals served to select appropriate materials, instruments, and equipment for treatment
- Educate individuals served on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care to promote ongoing dental health
- Document dental hygiene services, dental histories, and all services provided or refused in individuals served dental and medical records
- Answer questions and provide information to individuals served and employees regarding dental hygiene services and care
- Maintain dental instruments by sharpening and sterilizing equipment according to infection-control policies and protocols
- Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary working environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals served and maintain their trust
- Maintain dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, coordinating repairs, and maintaining equipment inventories
- Use dental supplies and resources responsibly and efficiently to support quality care
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene school (required)
Experience
- Two (2) years of dental hygiene experience (preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
- Current, unrestricted Dental Hygiene license, certification, or registration in the state of practice (required)
- Must maintain all required licensing, certifications, and educational requirements
- Client-mandated certifications and/or training (required, as applicable)
