Senior Advisor/Lead Advisor, Wealth Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Advisor / Lead Advisor, Wealth Management based in Canada.

This is an opportunity to provide sophisticated, client-first financial advice to high and ultra-high net worth clients in a modern, technology-enabled environment. You will guide clients through complex financial decisions, from onboarding and financial planning to investment strategy and ongoing wealth management. The role is fully salaried, with no commission structure or sales targets, allowing you to focus entirely on delivering exceptional client outcomes. You will work with clients whose financial situations may involve corporations, trusts, estates, and other complex considerations. Depending on your experience and professional designations, you will support clients with significant investable assets and take on an appropriate level of responsibility. The role offers the opportunity to challenge traditional wealth management practices while helping shape a more transparent, digital, and client-focused advisory experience.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide exceptional onboarding experiences for new high net worth clients, ensuring a seamless transition and establishing a strong foundation for long-term relationships.
  • Develop comprehensive, personalized financial plans based on each client's financial situation, objectives, priorities, and risk tolerance.
  • Create tailored investment proposals aligned with clients' financial goals, investment preferences, and broader wealth strategies.
  • Proactively manage and service client accounts, anticipating needs and identifying opportunities to provide additional value before issues arise.
  • Maintain regular, high-quality communication with clients through phone, video, and in-person meetings.
  • Provide sophisticated financial guidance for complex client situations involving corporations, trusts, estates, and other advanced wealth planning considerations.
  • Apply strong investment and financial planning expertise to help clients make informed decisions and achieve their long-term financial objectives.
  • Build trusted, lasting relationships with clients by consistently delivering an exceptional and personalized advisory experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs and ensure a seamless experience across the broader wealth management offering.
  • Share client insights, market observations, and professional expertise to help improve services, processes, products, and the overall client experience.
  • Contribute to the evolution of a modern wealth management model focused on unbiased advice, technology, and client outcomes rather than traditional sales incentives.
Requirements:
  • CFP designation is required.
  • CIM or CFA designation is required.
  • For Lead Advisor level, additional professional designations such as FEA, TEP, CPA, or equivalent are required.
  • Senior Advisor: 5+ years of experience in wealth management or financial advisory roles.
  • Lead Advisor: 10+ years of experience in wealth management or financial advisory roles, with significant experience supporting high and ultra-high net worth clients.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional client service and building strong, trusted client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, investment management, and wealth management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated financial concepts clearly and confidently to clients.
  • Strong client-first mindset and genuine commitment to helping clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Ability to manage complex financial situations with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Technology-minded approach, with the ability to use digital tools and technology to enhance the client experience and improve advisory services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders while maintaining ownership of client relationships and outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in a modern, evolving environment and adapting to new technologies, tools, and approaches to wealth management.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary of CA$124,000–CA$192,000, depending on skills, experience, and role level.
  • Equity compensation for permanent employees.
  • Clear job levels and market-based compensation bands designed to support fair and consistent pay.
  • Fully remote position within Canada.
  • No commission structure or individual sales targets, with performance focused on client experience and outcomes.
  • Comprehensive health benefits and life insurance.
  • Long-term group savings plan with employer matching.
  • 20 vacation days per year.
  • 4 wellness days.
  • Unlimited sick and mental health days.
  • Ability to work outside Canada for up to 90 days per year.
  • Employee resource groups supporting diverse communities and fostering an inclusive workplace.
  • Collaborative environment with talented, curious, and driven professionals across North America.
  • Opportunities for career growth within a rapidly expanding financial technology environment.
  • Access to modern technology, AI tools, and innovative approaches to financial services.
  • Commitment to an accessible and inclusive workplace with accommodations available throughout the hiring process.
