Technician, Maint Facilities 4

Responsibilities

Assists in the maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, building, and other facilities by performing the following duties as directed.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Assists in providing a safe, effective, and productive work environment by installing, repairing, and maintaining Triumph machines, hydraulic equipment, CNC controls, and electrical components under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Provide general facilities upkeep such as electrical wiring work, mechanical repairs to equipment and systems, including all equipment required to keep the business operating properly.
  • Contribute to the availability of necessary machine maintenance components by ordering supplies and parts as needed.
  • Protects employees and visitors by assisting in the collection and control of hazardous materials.
  • Provides support to the Manufacturing Manager and all departments of Triumph by responding to maintenance instructions and requests.
  • Assists in installing power supply wiring and conduit on newly installed equipment.
  • Replace light fixtures, lamps, receptacles, switches, and ballasts as needed
  • Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Transport tools, materials, equipment and supplies to work site by hand, hand truck.
  • Move and organize materials as required
  • Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
  • This position has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes. This person will perform medium-to-high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. This work will be of average to considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of a variety of mechanical maintenance actions.

    Qualifications

    Physical Limitations: Work may require bending, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying up to seventy-five (75) pounds, pulling, pushing, and reaching. This position requires multi-tasking ability, effective verbal communication skills, knowledge of industrial electronics, electrical diagrams, CNC controls, and hydraulics.

    Qualifications:

    • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
    • Must be able to read and write fluently in English to communicate and understand technical/ training manuals written in English.
    • Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
    • Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift preferred
    • Displays sound judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with little supervision.

    Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma, but preferred associates degree

    Minimum Years of Experience Required: 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
