The Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute in the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh has an immediate opening for a Clinical Research Nurse II.

Job Summary

Supports clinical research projects by coordinating projects and drug trials, assessing patients' qualifications, and facilitating protocols. Collects and reviews lab results, patient data, and lab specimens; administers medications and protocol-specific treatments. Performs general laboratory duties and specialized nursing duties, trains new staff, and ensures regulatory adherence.

Essential Functions

The applicant will manage/coordinate assigned clinical research projects and drug trials, including, but not limited to, recruitment and nursing care. Regulatory experience is preferred.

The applicant should be highly motivated to learn, detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks. Sound judgement and analytical and interpersonal skills are a must.

Physical Effort

The incumbent must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to see and have use of both hands.
