Temporary Part-Time Lab Technician / Phlebotomist in Manteo, North Carolina at Ocracoke Health Inc

Manteo Community Health Center, a part of Ocracoke Health Center, Inc., is seeking a Temporary, Part-Time Lab Technician / Phlebotomist to cover a medical leave between mid-October 2026 through end of January 2027!

We are a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to delivering excellent, passionate care to our tight-knit community! We provide comprehensive primary care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and focus on serving underserved and rural communities.

Pay range: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Schedule will be primarily mornings: Monday - Friday, 8am - 12pm (additional hours may be available)
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with accuracy and care
• Prepare, label, and process lab samples
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper storage/handling
• Work closely with providers and nursing staff

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with blood draws (clinical setting preferred)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to keep patients calm and comfortable
• Dependable and team-oriented
• Certification preferred, but not required
