Overview
The Program Manager for Cohort Scholar Programs provides operational leadership, project management, and programmatic support for cohort-based scholar initiatives within NYU's Global Enrollment Management and Student Success (GEMSS) division. The Program Manager plays a central role in ensuring the effective implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of scholar programs and special projects across the portfolio. Provide flexible operational and project management support for all cohort scholar initiatives, including the MLK Scholars Program, the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), the Community College Transfer Opportunity Program (CCTOP), and the Davis Scholars Program, as institutional priorities require. Serve as a key operational connector across teams to ensure continuity during staffing transitions, coordinate cross-functional projects, manage operational logistics and communications, and support a cohesive vision for scholar experience across programs.

Required Experience:
5+ years progressively responsible experience in higher education, student affairs, academic support, program management, or a related field.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience working with cohort-based scholar programs, grant programs, honors programs, access programs, or student success initiatives for diverse student populations.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, including shifting priorities, evolving timelines, and competing operational demands. Proven ability to lead special projects and initiatives for senior leadership, translating strategic priorities into effective operational execution. Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders across organizational units. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze processes and implement operational improvements. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and experience using data to support operational management, reporting, and decision-making. Experience with project management software and collaboration tools. Experience supervising professional staff. Experience supporting assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of an organization. Demonstrated adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing organizational and programmatic priorities.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with student information systems, CRM platforms, EMMA or communication management systems. Experience managing programmatic budgets. Experience with Tableau or data visualization software.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
