Here's how you can help -- we are currently looking for a Program Specialist to join our L&D Programs team, rise to the challenge of empowering service, and fill a vital role in our Leadership Development Division. As the Learning & Development Program Specialist, you'll support the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of leadership development programs that empower Lions and Leo leaders worldwide. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to support program operations, develop resources and communications, and help deliver a high-quality participant experience aligned with organizational goals. You'll also provide auxiliary support for international leadership institute initiatives and related activities.
What You’ll Do:
  • Support the planning, implementation, and ongoing improvement of leadership development programs and initiatives.
  • Implement and track assigned program activities, timelines, and project tasks support successful program delivery.
  • Develop and maintain program resources, guides, webpages, presentations, FAQs, and related communications.
  • Respond to member inquiries and support clear, accurate, and timely communication for assigned programs.
  • Collaborate with coordinators and internal stakeholders to support effective program operations and resolve program-related issues.
  • Assist in evaluating program effectiveness and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide support for international leadership institute initiatives, including participant selection processes, faculty preparation activities, and post-event evaluation efforts.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal teams, the Global Action Team, and other stakeholders in support of leadership development initiatives.
  • Communicate Leadership Development Division programs, processes, and policies effectively to members and partners worldwide.

We’re Looking for Someone With:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in program coordination, project management, learning and development, leadership development, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting educational programs, training initiatives, member-focused programs, or volunteer-driven organizations strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools required.
  • Experience with learning management systems or project management tools preferred.
  • Experience and/or interest in exploring automation/automation processes ideal.
  • Availability for both domestic and international travel is required; approximately 15-30 days per year.
Compensation: Exempt: $67,000-72,000
