Job Summary:
The MRO procurement specialist will serve as the primary procurement representative for all indirect purchasing activities supporting the Santa Clara site. The position is responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers for office supplies, MRO materials, facility maintenance, utilities, network infrastructure, coffee room and pantry supplies, washroom supplies, safety items, and other site operational requirements. The role is responsible for ensuring timely procurement, supplier performance, cost optimization, and uninterrupted support for daily site operations and NPI activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end MRO and indirect procurement activities, including office supplies, production tools, facility maintenance materials, utilities, network infrastructure, coffee room, washroom, safety supplies, and other site operational requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, including RFQ/RFP preparation, quotation analysis, price negotiation, supplier selection, contract support, and supplier performance management.
- Create and manage purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), and invoice reconciliation in ERP/SAP systems to ensure timely procurement and payment processing.
- Coordinate with Facility, IT, EHS, Security, GA, Finance, and business teams to support daily site operations, maintenance projects, and NPI activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize MRO materials, ensuring adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory and supporting continuous site operations.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier consolidation, competitive bidding, spend analysis, value engineering, and continuous process improvement.
- Ensure procurement compliance with company policies, audit requirements, contract terms, and corporate sourcing procedures while maintaining accurate procurement documentation.
- Perform other procurement and site operational support activities as assigned to support business continuity and organizational objectives.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of MRO procurement or indirect purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting factory operations, facility maintenance (MRO), or indirect procurement is required.
- Experience in an NPI Center, EMS or electronics manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supplier management, RFQ/RFP processes, purchase order management, cost negotiation, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
