Job Description
Job Description: Reporting to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the Driver/Warehouse Coordinator position is responsible for surprising each customer with exceptional service and delivering that customer experience to each stop. Driver /Warehouse Coordinators will make sure each driver gets the right part to the right customer in a safe and timely manner as well as maintain proper warehouse standards, and will act with integrity, empathy, and trustworthiness every single day. The Driver/Warehouse Coordinator will achieve desired results by executing these core roles.
Core Roles:
Sales:
- Has complete understanding of territory and each stop
- Customer receives order within the allotted time frame
- Credits are picked up, issued and returned to customer by the next business day
- Surprise each customer with exceptional service every day
- Maintains effective procedures for entering delivery times
- Verifies all returns from customers
- Routes all deliveries with the customers need in mind
- Delivers parts as needed
Profit:
- Verifies all parts before they leave the store
- Follows all cash handling procedures
- Follows all invoicing procedures
- Transfers are treated with the same urgency as a delivery
- Follows company procedures on all bank deposits
- Accurately completes all paperwork as set out in guidelines
- Ensures all stock is put up quickly and accurately
- Store warehouse stays clean and clutter free
- Cores and defects are processed daily
- Ensures warehouse is inventory ready at all times
Team:
- Recognizes co-workers for doing a great job
- Maintains an extremely positive attitude on a daily basis
- Stays within company dress code
- Follows company guidelines on attendance
- Always willing to help others
- Strives for excellence in everything everyday
- Participates in all company and store meetings and functions
- Trains all new drivers and has them ready to be on their own after two days of being on the job
Safety:
- Follows emergency procedures
- Keeps store and work area clean and clutter free
- Utilizes “team lifts” on all heavy and bulky items
- Uses the three point system when climbing ladders
- Reports to manager any violations of company safety policies or unsafe working habits
- Follows company safety guidelines that are laid out in the safety manual
- Completes and documents daily and weekly vehicle inspections
- Follows vehicle accident procedures
- Accident forms and insurance cards are in every vehicle
Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older, must also possess a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record. Must be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle. Must have the ability to lead and motivate a team. Must possess excellent customer service skills, and be able to lift over 40lbs routinely. This is not a complete list.
