Overview
Cal-Tex Electric is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office Manager to support our field team, project managers, customers, and office staff. This position serves as a central point of coordination for administrative operations, employee support, office procedures, and customer communication. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced construction environment, and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations and administrative functions
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and visitors
- Maintain office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
- Coordinate mail, shipping, and receiving activities
- Assist with onboarding and employee paperwork
- Maintain employee records and licensing documentation
- Support IT with device ordering, deployments and returns
- Assist with benefits administration and employee questions
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and company events
- Maintain company forms, policies, and administrative records
- Support project managers and field personnel with administrative needs
- Assist with safety documentation and compliance tracking
- Ensure a professional and welcoming office environment
- Pay depending on skill level and experience, $25-30/hr

Qualifications
- Strong Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service experience preferred
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to manage multiple software systems and digital workflows.
- Experience in construction, trades, HR, payroll, or office administration preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Familiarity with standard office equipment and software
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- Hours 7:00-3:30 (flexible)
- Candidates must be able to work onsite at our Prior Lake, MN office during normal business hours.
