Overview

Cal-Tex Electric is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office Manager to support our field team, project managers, customers, and office staff. This position serves as a central point of coordination for administrative operations, employee support, office procedures, and customer communication. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced construction environment, and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day office operations and administrative functions
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and visitors
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate mail, shipping, and receiving activities
  • Assist with onboarding and employee paperwork
  • Maintain employee records and licensing documentation
  • Support IT with device ordering, deployments and returns
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee questions
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and company events
  • Maintain company forms, policies, and administrative records
  • Support project managers and field personnel with administrative needs
  • Assist with safety documentation and compliance tracking
  • Ensure a professional and welcoming office environment

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Strong Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to manage multiple software systems and digital workflows.
  • Experience in construction, trades, HR, payroll, or office administration preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment and software

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday-Friday
  • Hours 7:00-3:30 (flexible)
  • Candidates must be able to work onsite at our Prior Lake, MN office during normal business hours.
