Senior Research Associate, In Vivo Oncology

Marlborough, MA

About the Opportunity

Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Research Associate to work within the In Vivo Oncology Team at our Marlborough, MA location to work with rodent models in a fast-paced team environment. Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • With minimum direction, independently execute study set up and direct study team during execution of standard study designs. For non-standard study designs, work under close direction to execute assigned studies
  • Develop and apply complex and routine dosing skills and collection techniques
  • Perform basic and complex animal skills
  • Routinely review and process In-Vivo Oncology data and work closely under guidance to develop protocol and report generation skills
  • Proactively communicate study progress, status and any issues potentially affecting study execution with more senior scientific staff
  • With limited direction, participate in efforts to support continuous improvement and to simplify and streamline processes and procedures
  • Participate in collaborations within and across departments
  • Instill and adhere to all regulatory and good science practices and procedures as required as well as other company policies, practices and procedures
  • Full commitment and adherence to laboratory animal welfare and Meadowhawk Biolabs’ Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals policies and procedures
  • Train and mentor more junior staff on established procedures and practices
  • Live, demonstrate and serve as role model by living company values

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or another related scientific field. Two years of prior laboratory experience required. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above.

Skills:

  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with scientific systems software, Study Log, LIMS and ELN.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Ability to abide by established processes and procedures with an attention to detail
  • Ability to self-organize, multi-task and to operate effectively with minimal day-to-day oversight

Compensation:

The target base salary for this position is between $68,500 - $88,000 per year. The specific rate for this position may vary and will be based upon factors including, but not limited to the individual’s experience, education, and skills. In addition to wages, Meadowhawk Biolabs provides a full benefits package upon hire date.
