This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP, Commercial based in the United States.
This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and execute a global commercial strategy within a highly regulated pharmaceutical services environment. You will lead revenue growth initiatives, strengthen strategic customer relationships, and drive commercial excellence across international markets. Working closely with executive leadership, you will align commercial priorities with operational capabilities, regulatory standards, and long-term business objectives. The position combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, overseeing global marketing, business development, account management, and commercial operations. You will play a key role in advancing digital transformation, enhancing customer experience, and building a high-performing commercial organization while influencing the future direction of the business.
- Define and execute a multi-year global commercial strategy aligned with long-term business objectives, driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across multiple regions and customer segments.
- Lead and develop global commercial functions, including marketing, business development, account management, commercial operations, and strategic partnerships to maximize business performance.
- Establish and optimize pricing strategies, commercial governance, value-based selling frameworks, forecasting processes, and opportunity management to improve commercial effectiveness and financial outcomes.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and channel partners while expanding strategic accounts and identifying new growth opportunities.
- Lead commercial due diligence and integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, ensuring seamless customer transitions and realization of revenue synergies.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives through CRM optimization, AI-enabled forecasting, advanced analytics, standardized commercial processes, and data governance.
- Champion a customer-centric operating model by integrating customer insights into business strategy and fostering collaboration across commercial, operations, quality, regulatory, and other cross-functional teams.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global commercial organization while establishing succession plans, sales performance frameworks, and leadership development initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in commercial leadership roles spanning sales, marketing, or business development.
- Extensive executive leadership experience within pharmaceutical services, CDMO, life sciences, healthcare manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries.
- Strong expertise in commercial strategy development, global go-to-market execution, pricing, contract negotiations, and strategic account management.
- Deep understanding of regulated healthcare environments, including FDA requirements, supply agreements, technology transfer, lifecycle management, and commercial manufacturing.
- Proven ability to lead global teams, influence executive stakeholders and boards, and successfully manage cross-functional initiatives across international organizations.
- Experience leading digital commercial transformation initiatives, CRM optimization, forecasting, analytics, and commercial process standardization.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, leadership, and talent development skills, with the ability to inspire high-performing teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% internationally as business needs require.
