Job Description

MARKETING COORDINATOR

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is a mission-driven non-profit dedicated to ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. Since our founding in 1984, we have helped conserve nearly one square mile of elk country every day. In partnership with others, we have conserved or enhanced more than 9.2 million acres, including improving public access to more than 1.6 million acres. Our impact will extend to 10 million acres by 2030.

To help build on this momentum, RMEF is seeking Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing and Partnerships team. This position supports the development, coordination, and execution of marketing programs and promotional campaigns for corporate partnerships/sales, retail (eCommerce and Visitor Center), national events, and Outdoor Class.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with supervisor, and Marketing & Partnership department leads, to support the design and development of effective marketing strategies
  • Provide support to supervisor to ensure marketing projects are executed successfully
  • Assist supervisor with creative, communication and marketing job requests to Brand & Communications. Track tasks to ensure they are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support Outdoor Class field production logistics by coordinating with organizational teams and stakeholders, coordinate shoot-day operations, talent accommodations, production notes, and post-production to ensure timely project completion
  • Under direction of supervisor, develop digital toolkits, creative assets, and landing pages for Outdoor Class course launches, including coordinating thumbnail requests and integrating Vimeo-hosted content across platforms
  • Support Outdoor Class platform course setup and publishing by coordinating course uploads, organizing collections and categories, creating chapter descriptions and thumbnail assets, and publishing content on scheduled release dates while ensuring quality and platform readiness
  • Working with supervisor, monitor and communicate contract deliverable expectations and updates to RMEF/Outdoor Class Subject Matter Experts. Communicate regularly to ensure course production and timelines are being met
  • Organize appropriate and department relevant Bynder files and resources, assist in gathering social media assets for RMEF/Outdoor Class activations
  • Process invoice payments in a timely manner

Location:

The Marketing Coordinator position is based at RMEF’s Headquarters office in Missoula, Montana fulltime.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, management business, or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • Five years of experience in a business environment

Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the development, coordination, and execution of marketing programs and promotional campaigns for corporate partnerships/sales, retail (eCommerce and Visitor Center), national events, and Outdoor Class (OC). This role assists in implementing integrated marketing efforts across digital and traditional promotional channels to drive audience engagement, brand awareness, and conversion. In addition to marketing support, this position provides operational support for Outdoor Class, including platform maintenance, course production coordination, subject matter expert (SME) coordination, administrative management, and content organization.

Essential Functions:

  1. Work closely with supervisor, and Marketing & Partnership department leads, to support the design and development of effective marketing strategies. Provide support to Marketing Manager to ensure marketing projects are executed successfully
  2. Assist Marketing Manager with creative, communication and marketing job requests to Brand & Communications. Track tasks to ensure they are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  3. Support OC field production logistics by coordinating with Brand/Communications teams and stakeholders, coordinate shoot-day operations, talent accommodations, production notes, and post-production to ensure timely project completion
  4. Under direction of supervisor, develop digital toolkits, creative assets, and landing pages for OC course launches, including coordinating thumbnail requests and integrating Vimeo-hosted content across platforms
  5. Support OC platform course setup and publishing by coordinating course uploads, organizing collections and categories, creating chapter descriptions and thumbnail assets, and publishing content on scheduled release dates while ensuring quality and platform readiness
  6. Working with supervisor, monitor and communicate contract deliverable expectations and updates to RMEF/OC SMEs. Communicate regularly to ensure course production and timelines are being met
  7. Organize appropriate and department relevant Bynder files and resources, assist in gathering social media assets for RMEF/OC activations, process invoice payments in a timely manner
  8. Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, support OC platform restructuring, coordinate and track creative requests, handle customer service inquiries

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must support the mission of the RMEF and have a demonstrated understanding and commitment to conservation, hunting and related issues.
  • Must possess excellent writing skills. Must be able to produce creative ideas for promotional copy.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the requirements, methods and techniques involved in this position. Must be effective in applying this knowledge to ensure program success.
  • Must have the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent research skills.
  • Must be able to support and assist with the implementation creative and effective programs focused on membership development and retention and promoting the organization.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Must be able to handle changing priorities and be flexible to change.
  • Excellent computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to work on/understand advanced relational databases.

Physical Demands

Office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time, frequent use of office equipment such as computers, light tables, printers, telephones and faxes. Light and some heavy lifting, bending and physical exertion may be required. Production of displays using hand tools and other appropriate materials may be needed. Some travel will be required including overnight travel and weekend work. This position may periodically require more than standard hours per week.
