With significant influence over profitability, growth, and execution excellence, you will help accelerate the expansion of clean energy infrastructure nationwide. This is a remote leadership position with extensive travel and high visibility across the organization.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will provide executive oversight for all construction operations within the solar division, ensuring strong financial performance, operational excellence, and consistent project delivery across multiple large-scale renewable energy projects.

  • Lead the overall strategy, execution, and performance of the solar construction division
  • Define and implement business unit strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and growth targets
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control across all construction activities
  • Drive profitability and operational efficiency across the division’s portfolio of projects
  • Lead hiring, development, performance management, and retention of construction and project teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
  • Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and promote a zero-incident safety culture
  • Monitor project performance, resolving escalated operational issues including delays, disputes, and resource constraints
  • Guide senior management teams in addressing construction risks, conflicts, and execution challenges
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on business continuity, succession planning, and organizational growth strategy
  • Oversee field operations through project leadership teams and ensure alignment across multiple job sites
  • Promote innovation by evaluating and implementing new construction practices, policies, and procedures
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client engagements
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure performance standards and operational consistency
  • Contribute as a member of the executive leadership team in shaping overall company strategy
Requirements

This role requires extensive leadership experience in large-scale construction environments, particularly within renewable energy or industrial infrastructure, along with strong strategic, financial, and people management capabilities.

  • 15+ years of construction experience in industrial, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong preference for experience in renewable energy or EPC construction environments
  • Proven experience leading large, multi-project construction portfolios and distributed field teams
  • Deep understanding of strategic planning, operational execution, and organizational development in construction settings
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, profitability management, and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing teams and leadership pipelines
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in conflict resolution, change management, and performance coaching
  • Ability to align cross-functional teams around shared goals and operational priorities
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and commitment to zero-injury principles
  • Proficiency with construction and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, Viewpoint, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, and geographically distributed project environments
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $200,000 – $280,000 per year (based on experience)
  • Annual Incentive Program (performance-based bonus)
  • 401(k) plan with company match and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Flexible spending accounts (healthcare and dependent care)
  • Life, disability, and supplemental insurance options
  • Paid time off, holidays, and additional leave programs (including parental and military leave)
  • Wellness programs including telehealth, prescription support, and gym discounts
