This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior portfolio management professional to lead strategic product and marketing initiatives within a globally operating Food Safety business. In this role, you will drive cross-portfolio strategy, optimize product lifecycle performance, and influence key investment and growth decisions across international markets. You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams spanning commercial, scientific, operational, and financial functions to align innovation pipelines with evolving market demands and long-term business objectives. The position offers significant visibility, strategic ownership, and the chance to shape global portfolio governance, commercial performance, and product roadmap execution. Ideal candidates are commercially minded leaders with strong analytical capabilities, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to manage complex product portfolios in highly technical or regulated industries.
- Lead and oversee cross-portfolio strategies to ensure alignment with global growth objectives, investment priorities, and long-term business goals.
- Analyze product portfolios to identify synergies, gaps, risks, and opportunities for acceleration, rationalization, reinvestment, or optimization.
- Translate enterprise-level strategy into actionable portfolio roadmaps, revenue projections, budget recommendations, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor aggregate portfolio performance including P&L outcomes, pricing strategies, launch effectiveness, margin improvement initiatives, and risk management activities.
- Support and mentor Portfolio Managers by strengthening strategic planning, lifecycle management, governance standards, and execution consistency.
- Collaborate closely with regional teams and cross-functional departments including Sales, Finance, R&D, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and Scientific Affairs.
- Develop and present robust business cases, strategic recommendations, and performance insights to senior leadership and decision-makers.
- Drive portfolio governance processes and ensure disciplined execution of product lifecycle strategies across multiple global product lines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on innovation, operational efficiency, commercial performance, and market competitiveness.
- Support the alignment of product innovation pipelines with customer needs, business priorities, and evolving market trends.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in portfolio management, product management, commercial strategy, or related senior business leadership roles.
- Previous experience within food safety, diagnostics, life sciences, manufacturing, or technical B2B industries is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience managing P&L performance, pricing strategies, revenue forecasting, and margin optimization initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead portfolio planning, governance frameworks, lifecycle management, and strategic investment decision-making across multiple product lines.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional collaboration within global or matrixed organizations.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex business data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities with experience engaging executive leadership and international teams.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading product or portfolio management professionals is highly valued.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively within fast-paced, globally distributed environments.
- Strong organizational skills, commercial awareness, and commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
