Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Outbound Solutions Architect in United States.
In this role, you will act as a highly technical, customer-facing expert focused on modernizing enterprise email security architectures. You will help organizations transition away from legacy Secure Email Gateways toward platform-native security models built on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, integrated with next-generation protection capabilities. Working closely with Customer Success and Professional Services teams, you will lead deep technical discovery, solution design, and migration strategy for complex enterprise environments. Your work will directly influence customer security posture, cost optimization, and operational simplification. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role requiring both strong technical depth and a consultative, trusted-advisor mindset. You will operate at the intersection of sales engineering, architecture, and post-sales transformation in fast-moving enterprise accounts.
You will own the technical strategy and execution for Secure Email Gateway displacement opportunities across enterprise customers, driving end-to-end migration success. You will engage deeply with stakeholders to uncover legacy dependencies, design replacement architectures, and guide customers through complex transition paths. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving SEG displacement strategy, identifying high-value accounts, and building a strong qualified pipeline of migration opportunities.
- Leading architecture-level discussions with technical and security stakeholders, addressing objections with deep expertise in email security systems and protocols.
- Translating legacy SEG capabilities (such as DLP, sandboxing, DMARC, URL filtering, and encryption) into modern cloud-native or platform-based workflows.
- Designing and supporting proof-of-concepts and advanced testing scenarios to validate migration feasibility and reduce customer risk concerns.
- Developing customer-specific business cases that quantify ROI through risk reduction, cost savings, and security consolidation.
- Collaborating with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Professional Services teams to refine solution strategy and influence roadmap direction.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in email security combined with a consultative, customer-facing approach and a proven ability to drive complex migrations. You are comfortable operating in quota-bearing environments and engaging senior technical stakeholders. Key qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or equivalent technical roles focused on email or messaging security.
- Deep expertise in enterprise email systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and legacy Exchange environments.
- Strong understanding of Secure Email Gateways (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda) and ICES architectures and deployment models.
- Solid knowledge of email security protocols including SMTP, TLS, DMARC, encryption, spam filtering, sandboxing, and payload analysis.
- Demonstrated experience leading SEG replacement or large-scale email security migration projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA as they relate to secure communications.
- Strong discovery skills with the ability to uncover hidden risks, inefficiencies, and technical constraints beyond stated requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a proven track record of earning trusted advisor status with enterprise customers.
- Experience operating in quota-carrying or outcome-based performance models.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-growth enterprise environments.
- Competitive base salary with performance-based compensation tied to outcomes and customer success.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Remote-friendly work environment with flexibility across the United States.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan.
- Generous paid time off and company holidays.
- Professional development opportunities and exposure to cutting-edge security technologies.
- Collaborative, high-impact environment working with enterprise-scale customers.
