Position Summary

The Senior Director, Sales & Supply Chain is responsible for leading the Sales and Supply Chain functions across Hanwha Materials’ Savannah and Houston operations, with overall accountability for customer relationships, revenue growth, commercial strategy, demand planning, materials management, logistics, and supply chain execution.

This position serves as a key business leader connecting customer demand and commercial priorities with operational execution across both plants. The Senior Director will work closely with Plant Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other key functions to ensure alignment of customer requirements, production capabilities, inventory, and delivery performance.

The role will also provide leadership and oversight for the responsibilities currently managed under the Supply Chain function, ensuring consistent processes, priorities, and performance across the Savannah and Houston operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Commercial Leadership

• Lead sales and commercial activities for both the Savannah and Houston plants, developing strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Serve as a key commercial point of contact for strategic customers and lead or support negotiations involving pricing, contracts, commercial terms, and long-term agreements.
• Develop and manage sales forecasts, revenue plans, and customer strategies across both operations.
• Identify market trends, customer requirements, and competitive developments to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
• Lead commercial activities for new customers and programs from opportunity identification through commercialization.
• Coordinate customer requirements and commitments with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Supply Chain Leadership

• Provide overall leadership and oversight of supply chain activities across the Savannah and Houston plants.
• Lead demand planning, production planning coordination, materials management, inventory management, logistics, and customer delivery activities.
• Translate customer forecasts and demand into effective supply and operational plans in coordination with each plant’s Operations team.
• Manage customer orders, delivery priorities, capacity constraints, and supply risks to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory and material availability and drive improvements in inventory efficiency and working capital.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics and coordinate product shipments and customer deliveries across both locations.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop appropriate contingency plans.
• Establish consistent supply chain processes and KPIs across both plants and drive continuous improvement.

Multi-Site & Organizational Leadership

• Provide leadership and direction for the Sales and Supply Chain teams supporting both Savannah and Houston.
• Ensure effective coordination and alignment between the two plants on customer priorities, demand, capacity, inventory, and delivery requirements.
• Serve as the primary cross-functional link between customer demand, commercial strategy, and operational execution.
• Partner with plant leadership and Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other functions to resolve customer and supply chain issues.
• Support annual business planning, budgeting, sales forecasting, capacity planning, and strategic planning for both operations.
• Provide executive leadership with regular updates on sales performance, customer issues, demand outlook, supply chain performance, risks, and business opportunities.
• Develop team capabilities, establish clear accountability, and drive consistent processes and performance standards across both locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant leadership experience in sales, commercial management, supply chain, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supporting multi-site manufacturing operations preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing strategic customer relationships and complex commercial negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of demand planning, production planning, materials management, inventory, logistics, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Proven ability to work effectively across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other functions.
• Strong business acumen, analytical capability, negotiation skills, and decision-making ability.
• Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple locations and manage priorities in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
