Accountabilities

  • Follow established editorial standards and guidelines to ensure content is accurate, engaging, original, and accessible.
  • Conduct thorough research and verify relevant information before publication.
  • Deliver articles consistently and within tight deadlines to ensure timely coverage of the latest industry news.
  • Monitor article performance and audience metrics, using insights to improve future content and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with editors, responding constructively to feedback and incorporating revisions efficiently.
  • Apply SEO best practices to help articles reach relevant audiences and perform effectively in search.
  • Maintain a consistent publishing cadence and contribute content that strengthens audience engagement and loyalty.
  • Participate in writing evaluations when required as part of the selection process.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated professional experience as an aviation writer, journalist, or contributor, supported by a portfolio of published work.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial aviation and current industry trends, with the ability to identify relevant and compelling story angles.
  • Excellent research and fact-checking skills, with a strong ability to turn complex industry developments into clear and engaging articles.
  • Exceptional written English, including strong grammar, structure, clarity, and editorial judgment.
  • Experience writing for digital audiences and producing content designed to maximize readership and engagement.
  • Practical SEO knowledge and a proven understanding of how content can rank and perform in search engines.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with editors and responding to feedback.
  • Familiarity with content management systems or custom publishing platforms is preferred.
  • Firsthand knowledge or professional exposure to the aviation industry is highly valued.
