General Maintenance in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania at A POCONO COUNTRY PLACE PROPERTY

We are seeking a proactive, skilled, and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to oversee a variety of maintenance and repair work across our association’s facilities. This role requires a self-starter with strong hands-on skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to anticipate issues and keep our community running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
• Take a proactive approach to identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving property maintenance issues before they become major problems.
• Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across the property.
• Maintain and service pool areas, equipment, and machinery.
• Diagnose and execute basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Complete carpentry and general construction projects as needed.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, trucks, plows, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
• Manage snow plowing and winter weather operations during inclement weather.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations and urgent community needs.

Required Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of previous general maintenance experience. Prior experience in property, facility, commercial, municipal, or community maintenance is highly preferred.
• Must possess a current, valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
• Must have dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and a high level of safety awareness.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must have technical Skills: Comfortable using technology, (i.e. computers, iPads, tablets etc.) for tracking work orders, send and receive emails.

Physical Capability
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform rigorous physical labor daily.

Work Schedule
Our operations run 24/7/365. This position requires the ability to work flexible and extended hours—including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and holidays—to support daily operations, winter weather response, and emergency situations.
