Position Overview
The Engineering Enablement Manager provides leadership and coordination for the systems, processes, and documentation that enable engineering and manufacturing success. This role oversees engineering data integrity, new product introduction (NPI), engineering change management, ERP master data, and cross-functional process improvements to ensure products transition efficiently from design through production while supporting quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineering Process & Change Management
· Lead the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process from initiation through implementation.
· Develop and maintain standardized engineering procedures and workflows.
· Coordinate document revisions with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Purchasing.
· Ensure controlled engineering documents remain accurate and current.
· Drive process improvements that reduce errors and improve execution.
2. Product Data & ERP Governance
· Own the accuracy of ERP engineering master data, including part numbers, BOMs, routings, and item masters.
· Validate engineering data before release to manufacturing.
· Support ERP enhancements that improve engineering and manufacturing efficiency.
· Maintain product configurations and revision history.
· Partner with IT and Operations to strengthen data integrity.
3. New Product Introduction (NPI)
· Coordinate the release of new products into manufacturing.
· Ensure manufacturing documentation is complete prior to production launch.
· Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality during product launches.
· Identify risks that could impact successful implementation.
· Support post-launch reviews and continuous improvement.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership
· Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Operations, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service.
· Coordinate engineering priorities to support production schedules and customer commitments.
· Lead cross-functional meetings related to engineering readiness.
· Track project milestones and communicate status to stakeholders.
· Support strategic initiatives assigned by the Operations Director.
5. Quality & Continuous Improvement
· Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal procedures.
· Support internal and external quality audits.
· Develop standard work instructions and engineering documentation standards.
· Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Analyze engineering metrics and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
· 5+ years of engineering, manufacturing, or technical operations experience.
· Experience with ERP/MRP systems, engineering change management, and product lifecycle processes.
· Strong understanding of BOMs, routings, manufacturing documentation, and ISO quality systems.
· Demonstrated project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
· Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software platforms
