Join a high-impact innovation team focused on developing new products and building scalable businesses from the ground up. In this hands-on leadership role, you will define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for ambitious zero-to-one initiatives with significant business potential. Working closely with executive leadership, engineering, design, data, and commercial teams, you will turn complex challenges into customer-focused solutions. You will own the entire product lifecycle, from opportunity discovery and rapid prototyping to launch, experimentation, and continuous improvement. Leveraging AI-powered tools, customer insights, and data-driven decision-making, you will accelerate innovation and deliver measurable business results. This remote-first opportunity is ideal for an experienced product leader who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and enjoys building transformative financial products.
- Define product vision and strategy: Partner with executive leadership to identify high-impact opportunities, understand customer needs and market trends, and establish a clear strategic direction for new products and platforms.
- Own product roadmaps and business outcomes: Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, define measurable success metrics, and prioritize initiatives based on customer value, conversion, profitability, retention, and long-term competitive advantage.
- Lead zero-to-one product development: Drive the complete product lifecycle, including discovery, opportunity validation, MVP definition, prototyping, launch, experimentation, and iterative improvement.
- Build and test product experiences: Take hands-on ownership of UI/UX, use AI-powered tools to create and refine prototypes, develop customer-facing content, and independently analyze user behavior to improve the product experience.
- Drive experimentation and analytics: Formulate hypotheses, design experiments, establish success criteria, analyze results, and use customer funnels and behavioral data to guide product decisions.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution: Lead collaboration across engineering, design, data, risk, capital, operations, revenue, legal, and compliance teams to deliver complex initiatives and align new products with existing platforms.
- Advise executive stakeholders: Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, clearly communicating recommendations, trade-offs, risks, and progress through concise documentation and regular updates.
- Establish product excellence: Develop reusable product frameworks, decision-making processes, and execution standards that improve innovation, product quality, and scalability across the organization.
- Support commercial growth: Contribute to business pitches, negotiations, and contract evaluations when product decisions intersect with commercial strategy, ensuring alignment between customer needs and business objectives.
- Promote ownership and execution: Maintain momentum in ambiguous environments, remove blockers, coordinate dependencies, and deliver high-quality outcomes without relying on direct managerial authority.
- Product management experience: Approximately 8–10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of launching and scaling consumer-facing products, platforms, or technical software solutions.
- Zero-to-one expertise: Demonstrated success leading new product initiatives or navigating highly ambiguous problem spaces, from initial discovery through launch and measurable business impact.
- Technical product leadership: Experience owning technical products end to end and collaborating closely with engineering teams to translate complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
- Cross-functional influence: Proven ability to lead initiatives across engineering, design, analytics, commercial, and other business functions without direct reporting authority.
- AI-powered product development: Practical experience using AI tools for prototyping, design, content creation, and analysis, with the ability to critically assess and improve AI-generated outputs.
- Hands-on execution: Comfortable independently developing product specifications, creating prototypes, analyzing data, writing customer-facing copy, and investigating product details without dedicated support for every discipline.
- Analytical and commercial judgment: Strong ability to interpret customer behavior, evaluate experiments, identify growth opportunities, and connect product decisions to business performance. Experience contributing to commercial negotiations, pitches, or contract assessments is valuable.
- Strategic communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear product documentation and build alignment among senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Decision-making in ambiguity: Strong judgment, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn incomplete or conflicting information into actionable plans.
- Execution and ownership: A proactive, results-oriented mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a consistent focus on quality, delivery, and removing obstacles.
- Customer-centric approach: A genuine commitment to understanding customer needs and developing transparent, trustworthy financial products.
- Preferred experience: Founder experience, early-stage startup exposure, or a background in building new businesses and products from scratch is an advantage.
- Location eligibility: Candidates must reside in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
- Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from CAD $209,000 to $269,000, depending on location, experience, and job-related skills.
- Equity opportunities: Potential equity rewards and access to an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) that allows eligible employees to purchase company shares at a discount.
- Comprehensive health coverage: 100% of medical insurance premiums covered for employees and their dependents, including dental and vision coverage.
- Health and wellness support: Monthly spending stipends to support health, wellness, and personal technology needs.
- Remote-first flexibility: Work remotely from eligible Canadian provinces, with flexibility built into the working model.
- Flexible time off: Flexible vacation arrangements and generous holiday calendars to support rest, personal commitments, and work-life balance.
- In-person onboarding: Opportunities to connect with colleagues through an in-person onboarding experience and occasional office or team gatherings when required.
- Professional impact and growth: The opportunity to work directly with executive leadership, shape strategic product initiatives, and build new products with significant business potential.
- Inclusive hiring experience: Access to reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process for candidates with disabilities.
