Waste Water Technician in Modesto, California at CRYSTAL CREAMERY INC

Crystal Creamery is seeking a dependable, hands-on Wastewater Technician to join our Modesto manufacturing team. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, monitoring treatment processes, and contributing to safe, efficient plant operations.

As one of California’s largest privately owned dairy companies, Crystal Creamery produces a variety of dairy and other food products for customers throughout the Western United States. Our wastewater operations play an important role in supporting our manufacturing processes and environmental compliance.

We are looking for a safety-conscious, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in keeping equipment operating properly and identifying problems before they become larger issues.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

• Knowledge of biological wastewater treatment processes.
• Basic mechanical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Understanding of wastewater testing, chemical treatment, and environmental compliance.
• Ability to safely work with treatment chemicals, including acids, caustics, polymers, and disinfectants.
• Basic computer skills for entering data, monitoring processes, and maintaining records.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

This is an active, hands-on position in an industrial manufacturing environment. Work may take place indoors and outdoors and may involve wet surfaces, varying temperatures, noise, odors, dust, fumes, gases, chemicals, and operating machinery.

Candidates must be willing and able to follow all required safety procedures and use assigned personal protective equipment. The position may require working at heights and entering confined spaces when properly authorized and trained.

Required qualifications include the ability to obtain or maintain applicable forklift and confined-space qualifications, consistent with company requirements.
