This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Director, Cardiometabolic & Endocrinology Care based in the United States.
This is a unique physician leadership role at the intersection of clinical care, digital health innovation, and population-level impact.
You will split your time equally between direct virtual patient care and strategic medical leadership within cardiometabolic programs.
The position focuses on designing, scaling, and optimizing innovative care models for chronic metabolic and endocrine conditions.
You will translate clinical evidence and population health data into actionable care pathways that improve outcomes at scale.
This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including operations, product, sales, and client services.
You will also engage externally with employers and payers to shape client-facing solutions and demonstrate clinical value.
It is a highly visible role that combines hands-on specialty practice with system-level innovation in virtual care delivery.
- Provide direct virtual patient care and consultative specialist support in cardiometabolic and endocrine medicine.
- Lead clinical oversight of cardiometabolic programs, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, and optimal patient outcomes.
- Design, pilot, and scale innovative virtual care models in collaboration with clinical, operational, and cross-functional teams.
- Translate population health data and risk stratification insights into actionable clinical pathways and care strategies.
- Serve as a clinical advisor in client-facing engagements, including presentations to employers and payer organizations.
- Partner with internal teams (operations, product, marketing, and sales) to support solution design and clinical positioning.
- Contribute to clinical research, white papers, and publications demonstrating outcomes and program effectiveness.
- MD or DO with fellowship training in Endocrinology or Cardiology, with a focus on cardiometabolic care.
- Active U.S. medical license and board certification in a relevant specialty.
- 3+ years of post-fellowship clinical experience in direct patient care.
- Strong experience in virtual care, digital health, or technology-enabled healthcare delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to design clinical care models and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts for non-clinical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary and matrixed environments (clinical, operational, and commercial teams).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
- Preferred: experience in value-based care and population health management with measurable outcomes.
- Competitive base salary range of $250,000 – $265,000 annually.
