Executive Director, Site Payment Services

This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, pricing governance, and clinical research operations, supporting global clinical development programs that directly impact patient access to life-changing therapies. You will lead high-value pricing and commercial decision-making processes, shaping how site payment strategies are structured across complex clinical trial portfolios. The role requires strong collaboration with finance, bid management, and operational stakeholders to ensure competitive, compliant, and scalable commercial models. You will act as a key escalation point for pricing strategy while influencing executive-level decisions tied to bids, contracts, and market positioning. Operating in a fast-paced, global clinical research environment, you will help drive efficiency, innovation, and consistency across pricing and contracting workflows. Accountabilities:
  • Lead pricing strategy development and commercial positioning for new and existing clinical research opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex pricing, contracting, and commercial decision-making matters.
  • Oversee bid review, approval workflows, and governance processes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and pricing teams to design rate cards, budgets, and commercial frameworks.
  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on deal structures, commercial packages, and market positioning.
  • Deliver data-driven market insights to support pricing decisions and improve competitive strategy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across bidding and contracting activities.
  • Ensure alignment across stakeholders on financial strategy, incentives, and execution priorities.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, CRO, or clinical research industry with a focus on pricing, contracts, or commercial strategy.
  • Strong expertise in developing pricing models, rate cards, and commercial frameworks for complex global organizations.
  • Proven leadership experience in cross-functional environments involving finance, operations, and business development teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of clinical research operations and commercial bid processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed global environments with competing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
