Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Vice President, Enterprise Clinical Quality is a senior clinical leader responsible for leading the enterprise clinical quality and patient safety strategy, ensuring alignment between clinical practice, patient outcomes, and organizational performance. This role chairs the Enterprise Quality Committee and partners in a dyad with clinical and operational leadership to drive measurable, accountable improvement across PAFC. The leader standardizes clinical practices, advances care reliability, and translates performance insights into scalable system-wide improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead development and execution of enterprise clinical quality strategy
- Define and monitor enterprise quality KPIs, driving intervention where needed
- Oversee peer review, audit, and compliance processes
- Partner with operations to remove barriers and improve performance
Enterprise Strategy & Governance
- Lead enterprise clinical quality and patient safety strategy in partnership with clinical and operations leadership
- Chair the Enterprise Quality Committee, establishing clear decision authority and accountability
- Build governance structures that align enterprise priorities with local execution
Performance Management & Improvement
- Define enterprise quality KPIs with clear linkage to outcomes
- Lead performance reviews, translating data into actionable interventions
- Drive measurable improvements in quality, safety, and care reliability
Clinical Standardization & Model of Care
- Lead development and scaling of evidence-based clinical practices and workflows
- Reduce unwarranted variation while preserving clinician judgment
- Ensure clinical policies, protocols, and playbooks are clear, accessible, and consistently applied
Operational Integration & System Design
- Partner with operations to resolve systemic barriers to performance
- Translate data and frontline feedback into scalable solutions
- Align workflows, tools, and incentives to sustain improvement
Culture & Capability Building
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Lead enterprise peer review, audit processes, and quality improvement capability building
- Engage clinicians through clear expectations, shared ownership, and trust

- Enterprise Quality Reviewer
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Clinical degree required (e.g., MD or DO). Advanced degree in healthcare, public health, or business preferred (e.g., MPH, MHA, MBA).
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical quality, regulatory quality, clinical or managed care operations, and lean methodologies within a healthcare or operational setting.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Current, active clinical licensure required (e.g., MD, DO), in good standing and board certified
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Deep expertise in clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement
- Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and system-level change
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed environments
- Skilled in change management, stakeholder alignment, and clinician engagement
- Strong understanding of regulatory quality, infection control, and care delivery operations
- Excellent communication and influence skills across clinical and executive audiences
- High judgment, professionalism, and alignment with PAFC’s mission and values
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Non-clinical role
- May rotate working in the office and remote. This job must be U.S. based.
- May require occasional travel of no more than 10% of time.
- Ability to multi-task, communicate clearly and concisely, and to work at a computer and with office technology for extended periods of time.

- Build and operationalize a robust, enterprise-wide clinical quality and patient safety system in partnership with clinical and operations leadership
- Drive measurable improvement in clinical quality, patient safety, and reliability of care delivery across the organization
- Establish clear, transparent performance expectations and accountability structures for clinical teams and leaders
- Ensure clinical quality programs, policies, and workflows are standardized, scalable, and embedded in daily practice
- Translate clinical insight, performance data, and frontline feedback into system-level improvements and innovations
