Description:

The Director of Dealerships is responsible for leading operational strategy and execution across Bower Ag’s dairy equipment dealership network. This role ensures that commercial growth, installation execution, service delivery, technical standards, and cow care outcomes operate as one aligned, high-performing system. The Director owns regional and location-level financial performance, including budget discipline, cost control, and profitability. Turns executive priorities into clear action plans, aligns teams, and solves operational challenges to keep execution on track.

Objectives: The Director drives operational efficiency, optimizes team performance, and enhances customer satisfaction while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing leadership talent and strengthening organizational capability across the dealership.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and hold direct reports accountable for performance, alignment, and execution against regional and company objectives.
  • Resolve cross-functional conflicts quickly to maintain execution momentum.
  • Own regional and location-level financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets.
  • Hold managers accountable for location-level performance.
  • Identify financial risks early and drive corrective actions.
  • Translate executive strategy into clear regional priorities and plans.
  • Balance urgency with operational excellence, ensuring standards and safety are upheld.
  • Review performance scorecards and ensure accountability across all dealership functions.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for peer-level conflicts and decision-making.
  • Design dealership organizational structure and leadership roles.
  • Ensure decisions are clearly communicated and consistently executed.
  • Engage directly with customers in high-impact situations, including escalations, strategic account alignment, and major deal support.
  • Recruit and onboard new hires, while showing clear succession plans for all team members.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Agriculture, or related experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in mentorship and coaching of team members.
  • Background in dealership operations, service organizations, or similar distributed business models preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing multi-location or regional operations.
  • Demonstrated success in owning financial performance, including budgeting and profitability.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex organizational environments.
  • Valid driver’s license?and?a?clean driving record.
  • Track record of driving scalable growth while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Experience working with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives.
