The Electrophysiology (EP) Lead Nurse is a specialized Registered Nurse who provides direct care for patients with heart rhythm disorders while providing clinical leadership, mentoring, and administrative support within the EP lab. This role involves assisting cardiologists with complex procedures such as cardiac ablations and pacemaker/ICD insertions, acting as a preceptor, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Must possess a current license or a temporary practice permit to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
3. Appropriate clinical experience with a thorough knowledge of the scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, developed skill in delivering nursing care, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
4. A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
5. The ability to successfully complete a competency-based orientation and annual competency testing of skills and knowledge necessary to provide care to specific patient populations.
6. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
7. Three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Five years of clinical experience in a related field.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
