Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient settings. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment while utilizing advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks. Candidates with experience in specialized procedures such as Botulinum toxin treatments, IV infusions, suturing, catheterization, and ventilator management are highly valued. A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards is essential. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in patient assessment, medication administration, diagnostic evaluation, and care planning across diverse healthcare settings.

Pay Rate
  • Per Visit: $55
Duties
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately by following prescribed protocols while adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Manage airway interventions, ventilator support, IV infusions, catheter care, and specimen collection and processing.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory testing, medical imaging (sonography, mammography), and other diagnostic modalities.
  • Provide specialized care such as wound suturing, ostomy care, dialysis management, and pain control strategies, including acute pain management.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and case management for post-acute care or long-term care patients, including those in memory care or assisted living facilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as Level I/II Trauma Centers, ICU/PICU units, neonatal units, or outpatient clinics.
  • Educate patients and families on health-related topics such as nutrition, disease management (including infectious diseases), family planning, and post-discharge instructions.
  • Ensure infection control practices are maintained at all times to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
Experience
  • Proven experience in diverse clinical environments, including hospital medicine (medical-surgical units), emergency rooms (ER), and ICU/PICU/trauma centers.
  • Prior experience working with specialized populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal care), geriatrics (including dementia and Alzheimer's care), and behavioral health patients with complex needs.
  • Experience performing advanced procedures such as tube feeding management, gastrostomy care, spinal taps, sonography procedures, or dermal fillers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterile processing techniques required for surgical or outpatient procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner. Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is essential.
  • Critical care experience in ICU or trauma settings is highly desirable. Experience working with patients with developmental disabilities or in hospice and palliative medicine is a plus.
