Shannon Miller Insurance - SMI is an established independent insurance agency serving clients throughout Texas with a focus on personalized service, trusted guidance and long-term client relationships. We are looking for an experienced P&C Sales Agent who is driven by success and eager to grow with our team. We offer a supportive, team-oriented work environment, a high volume of inbound leads (no cold calling), and strong earning potential through uncapped commissions and bonuses. This role is ideal for an experienced insurance professional looking to maximize their income, build lasting client relationships and succeed in a fast-paces sales environment.

• Answer inbound sales inquiries and conduct proactive outbound follow-up to develop opportunities and close sales.
• Conduct comprehensive coverage reviews to identify protection gaps and recommend appropriate insurance solutions based on each client’s individual needs.
• Educate clients on coverage options and guide them in making informed insurance decisions using a client-focused, needs-based approach.
• Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through quoting, binding, and policy issuance, ensuring timely follow-up and an exceptional client experience.
• Proactively identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities to better protect clients and their household assets.
• Assist with remarketing and retention efforts by evaluating coverage needs and identifying appropriate solutions for existing clients.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships through responsive communication, exceptional service, and trusted insurance guidance.
• Generate new business opportunities and referrals through strong client relationships, follow-up, and positive client experiences.

Requirements:

• Active Texas Property & Casualty / General Lines License (Required – No Exceptions).
• Maintain compliance with licensing, agency, and carrier requirements.
• Minimum of two years of experience in insurance sales required; brokerage experience highly preferred.
• Must be available to work on-site, remotely, or in a hybrid work arrangement - Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and listening.
• Client-focused with a passion for helping others.
• Strong sales background with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding production goals.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong problem solver.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with EZLynx AMS preferred (but training is available).
