This is a six-month remote contract with potential for extension, offering the opportunity to shape a global visual brand across a fast-moving technology organization.
You’ll serve as the principal steward of the visual identity system, ensuring consistency and creative excellence across global touchpoints.
The role combines creative leadership with strategic direction for campaigns, product launches, and high-profile events.
You’ll lead an internal multidisciplinary Creative Services team while coordinating external agencies and freelance partners.
You’ll also improve creative workflows, resource allocation, measurement, and operational efficiency across the function.
Success requires strong enterprise brand expertise, business judgment, and the ability to translate complex objectives into compelling visual solutions.
This role is well suited to an experienced creative leader who thrives with autonomy, collaboration, and significant strategic influence.
Own, evolve, and govern the global visual brand identity system, including style guides, asset libraries, and creative standards across marketing and sales channels.
Develop and direct creative strategy for major global campaigns, product launches, growth initiatives, and flagship events.
Lead visual design and production for high-profile company and industry events, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand experience.
Act as the principal creative advisor and brand systems expert for internal stakeholders and global marketing teams.
Lead, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary Creative Services team, including Art Directors, Graphic Designers, and Production Managers.
Establish performance expectations, KPIs, feedback practices, career development plans, and resource priorities for the creative team.
Optimize creative workflows and production processes across in-house and external resources to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality.
Manage and optimize the annual Creative Solutions budget, balancing business priorities, resources, and creative impact.
Manage relationships with external creative agencies and freelance partners, including contracts, budgets, deliverables, and quality standards.
Develop measurement and value frameworks to evaluate creative performance and continuously improve the function.
Partner with internal stakeholders, marketing teams, agencies, and freelance collaborators to translate business objectives into effective creative solutions.
Resolve complex creative challenges and differing stakeholder perspectives while maintaining strong working relationships and clear strategic direction.
15+ years of experience in graphic design, comprehensive brand identity development, and brand stewardship across agency and in-house environments.
8+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and coaching multidisciplinary creative teams, including Art Direction and Production.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining complex, scalable visual identity systems for global organizations.
Experience within a B2B or B2C SaaS organization with a complex, global marketing footprint.
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with enterprise project management and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
Proven ability to lead centralized creative teams while fostering a high-performance, innovative, and collaborative culture.
Strong strategic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business insights and objectives into effective visual solutions.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly communicate creative rationale and strategic recommendations.
Strong conflict-resolution and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to navigate differing perspectives constructively.
Demonstrated ability to make independent creative decisions, establish quality standards, and operate effectively with limited day-to-day oversight.
Strong experience managing creative budgets, vendors, agencies, workflows, and operational processes.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Commitment to inclusive collaboration and building strong relationships across functions and disciplines.
Contract: Six-month contract with potential for extension.
Location: Remote position based in Canada.
Salary: Hiring range of $116,200–$155,000 CAD annually, with actual compensation dependent on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, location, and market considerations.
