CMA in Waterloo, Iowa at New GI P.C./Digestive Health Center

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate and team-oriented CMA who enjoys building relationships with patients and working as part of a collaborative healthcare team. This is a full-time position working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and other clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care in our busy gastroenterology clinic.

Requirements:

• Provide professional, compassionate care to gastroenterology patients
• Room patients and update medical information
• Assist providers and other team members within scope of practice
• Coordinate patient care, testing, procedures and referrals
• Provide accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Assist with patient calls, messages and follow-up
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Understands the importance of confidentiality and HIPAA

Previous gastroenterology our outpatient clinic experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
