Social Media Specialist / Content Creator – Part Time

$23 - $26/hr. (based on experience)

The Whiskey River Saloon is currently looking for an experienced and energetic part-time Social Media Specialist to enhance our online marketing presence in our Nashville market that includes our affiliate, Lucky Bastard Saloon. The Social Media Specialist will have strong content creation talent that builds engagement.

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for heightening brand awareness and increasing customer traffic and sales by building strong and diverse social media engagement with the community across all of the Company's social channels. The Social Media Specialist creates content and engages in social conversation across all platforms, assists with coordinating all day-to-day social activities including posting, creative content, and interactions. The specialist is also responsible for supporting marketing and restaurant operations leaders by providing timely and incisive summary reports, and competitive overviews.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinates content creation, production, posting, and online conversations across a wide range of social networking platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Google, etc… for multiple brands within the organization.
• Captures Content in person on flexible days including weekends, holidays, and during special events.
• Coordinates and executes the day-to-day social media presence and calendar for multiple brands including, but not limited to writing editorial/social copy, assisting with the creation of visual content, community outreach, promotions, monitoring and listening both directly and through software tools, and developing responses.
• Engages the community by writing and responding to fans and followers from all social media platforms with clear and professional written and visual messages that project the personality and energy of our brands.
• Partners with restaurant operations to ensure all guest feedback and complaints are addressed in a timely manner.
• Takes ownership of the social calendar – works with the Marketing Teams to align social media programming with product launches, campaigns, and sales promotions with the goal of increasing consumer engagement with our brands and driving traffic into our restaurants.
• Assists with the development of comprehensive social media programs that support the company strategy by increasing brand visibility and traffic to social platforms. Works with product, creative, and media teams to align social media efforts with current and upcoming sales promotions and initiatives.
• Participates in the ideation, development, and execution of marketing campaigns. Develops and implements engaging, content-rich social programs and strategies across social networks to increase brand awareness, build consumer “buzz.”
• Promotes the utilization of new and relevant social media methods into the Company's marketing culture.
• Monitors the social media activities competitors.
• Responsible for supporting other marketing efforts as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or current coursework in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field. Current college students are welcome to apply.
• Must be an extrovert and love engaging our guests & team members to obtain energetic content.
• Must be local to the Nashville area.
• Entry level to 2+ years of related corporate social media content creation experience.
• An in-depth knowledge of varied social media platforms and analytics from a corporate perspective is required.
• Additional experience with communications, public relations, marketing is preferred.
• Excellent overall communication skills with the ability to engage varied demographics.
• Knowledge and experience with blogging is preferred.
• Restaurant industry experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
