Polysomnographer I in Abilene, Texas at Hendrick Medical Center

A sleep technologist works under general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care, and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.

Minimum Education

• Associates degree or Graduate accredited respiratory program or Completion of A STEP Program or Completion of a Certified Sleep Program

Minimum Work Experience

• No prior experience required

Required Licenses/Certifications

• RPSGT, CPSGT, or RST, or CRT/RRT with SDS credentials from NBRC, or completion of A-Step (completion with 1 year of hire date), and/or eligible to sit for RST boards
• Eligible to sit for RST boards
• CPR certified
