Engineering Intern in Poway, California at Radeus Labs

Location: Poway, CA | Job Type: Internship | Schedule: On-site | Compensation: $16.90/hour

Radeus Labs is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our growing engineering team. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world engineering projects supporting rugged computing and communications systems for aerospace, defense, and commercial applications.

· Support engineers with design, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical projects

· Assist with hands-on assembly, testing, evaluation, and problem-solving

· Learn and apply engineering concepts, tools, software, and processes

· Help identify issues and contribute ideas for practical solutions and process improvements

· Document work, results, and technical information clearly

· Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other teams

· Take on additional projects and responsibilities as you develop your skills

· Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related technical field

· Strong curiosity and willingness to learn

· Comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback, and learning from mistakes

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment

· Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities

· Professional attitude and a hands-on approach to learning

Preferred: Coursework or project experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, systems, or manufacturing engineering; CAD, electronics, programming, testing, or other hands-on technical experience.

Our interns work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to the engineering, production, and problem-solving that goes into building customized technology for demanding environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software
• Familiarity with electronics testing, soldering, or basic circuitry (for electrical roles)
• Exposure to documentation standards or version control tools
• Coursework or projects in systems design, manufacturing, or process improvement
