Location
The Himes Peak Campground has 11 campsites with picnic tables, fire grates, bear boxes, trash disposal, and a vault toilet. Nestled in the Aspens at 8,800 feet, Himes Peak Campground provides direct access to Big Fish Trail #1819 and hiking in the Flat Tops Wilderness. Fishing in nearby Rainbow Lake and Big Fish Lake is good, and elk hunting can be very good in season.
