Role Overview

Support engineering and development of instrument panel and console systems through all development phases. Coordinate component and assembly changes, supplier data, release activities, tooling timing, validation testing, build support, and rapid resolution of open issues. Take direction from the client engineering team to modify components to meet engineering, design, and safety requirements.

• Work with suppliers to ensure proper upload of engineering data into the designated OEM system.
• Update existing parts and assemblies to support manufacturing feasibility, part performance improvements, and changes to interfacing components and systems.
• Obtain B-Release for provided instrument panel and console parts.
• Work with suppliers to ensure tooling timing supports downstream deliverables.
• Support instrument panel and console commodity DV/PV testing and lead issue resolution.
• Support supplier builds and onsite client builds.
• Resolve all open instrument panel and console issues through build phases.

Personnel Requirements

• Experience engineering instrument panel and console systems through all development phases.
• Experience with Catia software, including pulling in engineering data and cutting sections.
• Understanding of instrument panel and console system requirements.
• Experience in DV/PV testing for instrument panel and console systems.
• Ability to resolve open instrument panel and console issues quickly.
• Knowledge of the designated OEM systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of quality processes, including DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control plans.
• Proficient ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to implement client engineering direction for engineering, design, and safety requirements.
