About Coyote Tanks Inc.

Coyote Tanks Inc. is a leader in API tank manufacturing, delivering high-quality products with speed, precision, and accountability. Coyote Tanks builds critical equipment for the energy and industrial sectors out of the Utah Basin. We operate with a lean manufacturing mindset—no chaos, no excuses, just results.

We are growing fast, and our people are the reason. This role exists to make sure that as we scale, we stay a place where skilled, motivated people want to build their careers.

Position Summary

The HSE Technician I is an entry-level Health, Safety & Environmental position designed to develop a field-experienced employee into a capable HSE professional. The role supports the Coyote Tanks safety program through visible field presence, employee engagement, hazard recognition, inspections, documentation, training support, and follow-through on corrective actions. The HSE Technician I works closely with employees and supervisors in the shop, field, and project sites to reinforce safe work practices while learning the regulatory, administrative, and technical responsibilities of the HSE function. The position is supported by a structured 12-month training and development plan, with protected development time (target of 4 hours per week, adjusted for operational needs), and the technician will progressively assume greater responsibility as knowledge and competency develop. The HSE Technician I must be able to perform all job functions with a “safety first” mentality and coordinates with the Director of People & Safety to ensure that assigned duties are aimed at accomplishing Coyote Tanks business strategy.

Every HSE Technician I is expected to:

  • Lead by example and consistently demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth. It is everyone’s responsibility to meet OSHA requirements on the job and to attend and practice what is covered in ongoing safety training.
  • Approach employees as a safety resource and coach, not simply as an enforcer.
  • Raise concerns early, bring recommended solutions when practical, and follow through on commitments.
  • Maintain a positive company attitude and ensure their individual effort is aligned with the company goals.

You ensure that you do your part as your team is responsible for supporting the company vision and mission.

Measure of Performance

  • Meeting or exceeding HSE and development goals as established jointly with the Director of People & Safety and other members of the Management Team.
  • Timely and accurate documentation, and follow-through to closure on assigned corrective actions.
  • Consistent field presence and sound judgment, with timely escalation of higher-risk concerns.
  • Conducts himself/herself in a professional, respectful, and cooperative manner at all times, and maintains confidentiality when handling employee, incident, medical, or Company-sensitive information.
  • Maintains professional appearance at all times.

Day Shift Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm

*Must by 18 years or older to apply*
