Position Highlights
- Specialty: CRNA
- Open to experienced providers or new graduates (NBCRNA Certification)
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Candidate Skills:
- CRNA manages patients during procedures; will perform anesthesia on all ages
- Skills required: Labor epidural, comfort with central line placement preferable but not required
- Types of cases: bread and butter, includes OB, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, healthy pediatrics, outpatient surgery, occasional thoracic, trauma and regional anesthesia; will insert lumbar epidural catheters, administer spinal anesthesia and will sometimes administer Axillary Brachial Plexus Blocks; though not typical, CRNA may perform other procedures and aid as needed
- Practice model: care team and independent practice. Cases are a mix of direction – supervision and independent. Position offers a lot of autonomy.
- Position Location: Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, Massena Hospital
- Schedule:
- Primary location is Canton-Potsdam Hospital with potential to provide outreach to other facilities
- Regular OR hours are 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, first staff in is first staff out at end of day
- CRNA schedule will be a mix of 24-hour shifts and 8-hour days for a total of 40 hours per week
- Call Coverage Requirements/Call Schedule:
- Call Schedule: 1:9. CRNA rotation covers 1st first call Su-Fr and 2nd call Saturday
- CRNA is off the day after being on 1st call
- EMR: Epic
Compensation & Benefits

- Competitive base salary: $350,000*
- Sign-on and Retention bonus: $25,000 sign-on; $25,000 retention after year 1

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and may be eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.
